outh Leadership Institute (YLI), Empowering Youth: Threads of Change

I am reaching out to share two opportunities to participate in the upcoming Youth Leadership Institute (YLI),  Empowering Youth: Threads of Change.  This theme will explore the past, present, and future of youth organizing: We will look at the past by learning the history of youth organizing and social movements. We will explore the present structures youth live within currently and focus on Knowing Our Rights. We will look to the future, building organizing skills to create lasting legacies for change.  Through YLI, we hope youth leaders across New England will grow their confidence and find their voice! YLI will be held in person from August 5th through 7th at the Babson Executive Conference Center in Wellesley, MA. Volunteer: Olneyville Neighborhood Association (ONA)

At Olneyville Neighborhood Association (ONA), we recently launched the Walking School Bus at William D'Abate Elementary School (6 min away from RIC). Currently, we have 27 students registered. It has been such a huge success that it's requiring us to recruit more Walking Leaders.
